How it works
A small device that sits on your desk. Tap your phone on it and the apps you chose stop opening. Tap again when you are ready for them back. It has no battery, no screen and no button.
Screen Time lives on your phone, so the off switch is on your phone. When the grey box appears you press Ignore Limit and carry on. Mohar's switch is an object on your table. To turn it off you have to go to it. That is the entire difference and it is the only one that matters.
Yes, by walking over to Mohar and tapping. That is not a loophole, it is the design. We are not trying to trap you. We are trying to turn a reflex into a decision.
Any app on your phone. Most people pick Instagram, YouTube, one game and one shopping app. You can save different lists for different moments, like Study, Work and Dinner.
Always. Calls, SMS, your dialer, maps and camera are never blocked. Only the apps you picked go quiet.
No. You open it once to pick your apps and then leave it closed. The tap works with your screen locked.
As many as you want. There is no quota and no waiting timer. Some devices in this category cap how often you can unlock and make you request more. We do not.
You can switch a lock off from inside the app on your own phone, so you are never stuck without your apps. Message us on WhatsApp and we will help you order another one.

Your phone
If your phone can tap to pay at a shop, it works. That means iPhone XS from 2018 and newer, and any Android phone with NFC, which is most phones sold in India since about 2019.
Yes, and it is free on both. There is no account to make and no email needed.
Yes. There is nothing paired and nothing registered. Install the app on the new phone, pick your apps and tap.
Yes. Each phone keeps its own app list. One on the dining table works well for a whole household, and each person only affects their own phone.

Privacy
No. The list lives on your phone. Mohar has no battery and no radio that can reach the internet. There is nothing in it that could send anything anywhere.
No. We have no dashboard of your usage, no streaks and no reports. A product about attention should not be watching you.
No. Mohar cannot report to anyone. It is not a parental control tool and it is not a monitoring tool.

The device
One Mohar. That is the whole box. Tap it with your phone and the app download opens by itself, so there is no card to lose and no code to type. No cable either, because there is nothing to charge.
Never. It draws the tiny amount of power it needs from your phone during the tap itself. There is no battery inside to run down or replace.
It fits in your palm and weighs about as much as a lemon. It is roughly seven centimetres long and two and a half tall. It sits flat on any surface and does not slide when you tap it. Each one is finished by hand, so the speckle on yours will not match anybody else's.
There is no screen, no button and no moving part, so there is very little on it that can fail. If yours arrives damaged, send us a photo on WhatsApp on the day it arrives and we will sort it out.

No. The app is free forever and always will be. There is no card on file and no plan to cancel.
Yes. Choose cash on delivery at checkout and pay the delivery person. You hold the box before any money moves.
It leaves our warehouse within one working day. Metro cities usually get it in 2 to 4 days and the rest of India in 4 to 7. Delivery is free everywhere in India and you get a tracking link by SMS and WhatsApp.
Yes, with every order. Enter your company GST number at checkout if you want it in the company name.
Not yet. We ship across India only. If you want one sent abroad, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Honest questions
The ones people are too polite to ask.
A blank NFC sticker costs about forty rupees and it will not do this on its own, because the work is in the app and in how the lock behaves when the device is not present. But you are right that the electronics inside are simple, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
What you are paying for is the app being free forever with no ads, and an object that is heavy enough and good looking enough that you do not stop noticing it in week two. We tried the cheap plastic version first. It failed for exactly that reason.
You should not, yet. That is why cash on delivery is on every order. The box reaches your door, you open it, you hold the device, and only then does any money change hands. If you have changed your mind by then, do not take it.
Some people do. The ones who keep using it are almost always the ones who decided where it lives on day one and never moved it. If it ends up in a drawer, message us within seven days of delivery and we will arrange a return.
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp within seven days of delivery and we will arrange a pickup. We would much rather take it back than have it sitting unused and reminding you of a bad decision.
Almost always. Ordinary silicone, leather and plastic cases are fine. Metal cases and thick magnetic wallet cases can block the tap. If yours does, take the phone out of the case for the tap or move the case aside.
No. Everything happens on your own phone. The tap works in a hostel basement with no signal and the lock stays on whether you are online or not.
Your apps come back. This is deliberate. We are not going to hold your phone hostage, and any product that tried would deserve to be uninstalled. The point is friction, not imprisonment.
Because a black plastic gadget is one more thing on your desk asking for attention, which is the opposite of the point. A mohar is a seal. You press it once and the matter is closed. It should look like something you would keep on your desk anyway.
The object

About seven centimetres long and roughly the weight of a lemon. No battery, no screen, no button and no port, so there is very little on it that can break or run out.
